Busselton Jetty The jetty is the second longest timber-piled jetty in the world. It extends 1.8kms over the protected waters of Geographe Bay. Click here to go to their website Just for interest....the heavy wooden door to bedroom 3 is made from wood from the original jetty. It was reclaimed after Cyclone Alby swept down the coast in 1978. Much of the oldest section of the jetty, the first 700m built in the late 1800s, was destroyed beyond repair, and locals worked to clean up and repurpose the original timbers.
